The next Weekend Vocations Workshop will be held on February 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2009. It is being jointly arranged by the Dioceses of Galway, Clonfert and the Archdiocese of Tuam. Further details will be available in due course.

 

Irish Bishops and CORI issue joint statement on recent Budget

'We call on the Government to revisit this Budget, bearing in mind that it is education that guarantees the future of the nation. It is how we deal with the most vulnerable that defines our society. We urge policymakers to be mindful that the educational outcome for our young people is in direct proportion to the support we give those who teach in our schools and those who manage them.'

launches Pastoral Letter

to mark the Year of Vocations!

Entitled 'God loves a Cheerful Giver', the pastoral was launched on September 25th. In it, the Bishop encourages all people of goodwill to ask 'what is the Lord saying to me now?' He encourages each man and woman to respond to this question with generosity and love.
